The Book

4 Secrets of High Performing Organizations is full of common sense wisdom that all leaders – from Mail Room Supervisors, to CEOs to Start-up Entrepreneurs -- can use to help them build a powerful, high performing organization.

4 Secrets is based on the experience of Bud Bilanich, a highly regarded leadership consultant, executive coach, speaker and author.  Dr. Bilanich’s 30 + years in the organization effectiveness field make him uniquely qualified to offer the kind of advice he dispenses in 4 Secrets of High Performing Organizations.

4 Secrets is the story of Brennan Newell, CEO of the fictional company, Diamond Inc.  The parable format of the book makes it easy and enjoyable reading.  The summaries at the end of each section, highlight the important points in an easy to understand and use manner.

The key message in 4 Secrets of High Performing Organizations is that success in leading any organization – no matter how large or small – comes down to mastering four principles:

  • Developing and communicating a clarity of purpose and direction.
  • Obtaining the sincere commitment and engagement of everyone involved.
  • Skillful execution of the things that matter.
  • Building mutually beneficial relationships with important outside constituencies.

Author Bud Bilanich says, "Leaders who master and apply these four common sense, but powerful concepts -- clarity, commitment, execution and relationships -- will be well on their way to making the organizations they lead, high performing organizations."
